Free Weatherization Workshop on March 30
Come learn how you can "button up" your home, save money and increase comfort at "Button Up, New Hampshire" on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:00 at the Canterbury Meeting House. This free weatherization workshop, hosted by the Canterbury Energy Committee and EnergyActionNH and sponsored by Clean Air - Cool Planet and the New England Carbon Challenge, will be presented by certified energy auditor and instructor Andy Duncan. You do not have to be a Canterbury resident to attend.
The workshop presents cost effective strategies for reducing energy costs throughout your home. Virtually every area of energy use in the home is covered as well as practical ways to reduce excess usage while maintaining and even improving comfort. Areas covered include heating and cooling systems, air sealing, insulation, appliances, lighting and more. No-cost and low-cost "Quick hits" are covered as well as projects that can be done by the "do-it-yourselfer" and by professionals. Sources for additional information and resources will also be presented.
With global energy demand rising rapidly, the competition for energy resources is increasing and, thus, energy prices are predicted to rise more rapidly. The average home in the United States can reduce energy usage by 20% or more and this workshop will show you how. Come join us on January 18 for this informative workshop and start saving money!
